Disease State Education
Clinical Bridges
Authoritative clinical disease education is the mission of KnowledgePoint360’s Clinical Bridges
division. Working in tandem with leaders in the medical community, we take a comprehensive approach
to assessing educational needs of practicing clinicians, and then designing balanced,
effective educational activities to address those needs.
Clinical Bridges reaches physicians through multi-platform educational initiatives in many of
the most important therapeutic areas, using a combination of live meetings, print materials,
and award-winning Websites. We have strong scientific expertise, in house and through our
extensive relationships with experts in each area, and keen understanding of
adult learning principles and how best to apply them. We’re especially proud of the high
traffic to Websites and seminars associated with our educational initiatives,
including the National Diabetes Education Initiative (NDEI.org),
Committee on Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disorders (CCMDweb.org),
National Initiative on Pain Control (NIPC.org), and PainKnowledge.org.
To discuss ways in which you can work with Clinical Bridges on these or other educational
initiatives, contact Marianne O’Boyle Koch, president of Clinical Bridges,

The International Congress on Drug Therapy in HIV Infection, and HIV web portals
Familiarly known as “the Glasgow Congress”, the International Congress
on Drug Therapy in HIV Infection is one of the world’s largest and best-known
conferences on HIV/AIDS. It is held in November of even-numbered years. The Tenth International Congress,
held in Glasgow in November 2010, attracted over 3,100 delegates from 79 nations for five days of
educational sessions. The Congress distinguishes itself through a highly scientific program,
with state-of-the-art presentations from an invited faculty of leaders in the field delivered
in a series of plenary sessions and sponsored satellite symposia. The aim is that the Congress reflect the
real progress and principal challenges in the treatment of HIV infection, giving delegates understanding of
the major issues to assist them in their own practices, and that current research collaborations are
strengthened and others formed.
The program for the International Congress is developed by a distinguished Organising
Committee chaired by Professor Ian Weller of the University College London Medical
School, with input from an international Scientific Committee of prominent authorities.
KnowledgePoint360 is proud to have been instrumental in establishing this prestigious
Congress in 1990 and has provided its services as the Organising Secretariat for
each Congress since then.
Much of the content from the Glasgow Congress, plus additional educational resources
to improve care of HIV-positive patients, can be accessed at www.hivdrugtherapy.org. This site also features
information on the Eleventh Congress (HIV11) set for November, 2012, and will include registration
information closer to the date of the conference.
Additionally, KnowledgePoint360 works in partnership with the University of Liverpool to provide up-to-date
information on drug-drug interactions among therapies given to HIV-positive patients through
www.HIV-druginteractions.org.
